Otilia is in the process of completing a Bachelor of Advanced Science majoring in Genetics at UNSW. She joined the lab in 2023 and is currently completing her Honours year. She also completed a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance. Otilia’s current research focuses on delta globin and its effect on foetal haemoglobin expression, as a potential avenue for beta-haemoglobinopathy treatment. In her spare time, Otilia enjoys playing basketball, hiking, and going to the beach.
